Jazz House, French House, and Guest DJ Joey G on Episode 46

It's not all about the bass!  Sometimes pairing a driving bass beat with a smooth piano melody, grooving sax, or the jazz flute can totally change the feel of a four-on-the-floor beat.  Episode 46 features jazz house, French house, a little Chicago house, and plenty of samples ranging from Dave Brubeck and NIna Simone to Dalton&Dubari and The Style Council. 

Hour three features Joey G on the decks dropping some funky soulful house music.  His style is influenced by the first and second waves of Chicago house music and his experiences sneaking into clubs as a teenager.  I've always loved his fearless transitions, old-skool tracks, and amped up tempo.  Check out his set below, available for stream or download.
