Host, "House Connection"

As creator and host of the Honolulu's house music radio show House Connection on KTUH 90.1 FM Honolulu and KTUH 91.1 FM Hale‘iwa, DJ Mike Curtis brought energy, knowledge, and style to the Honolulu house-scene spinning Chicago House, Nu-Disco, Bass, World, and Tech House every Friday from noon till 3pm.

House Connection was noted in the Honolulu underground electronic music scene for taking listeners on a guided tour of house music, connecting the tracks to the familiar, or sometimes not-so-familiar, sounds that are sampled to produce some of the most danceable grooves on the planet. While each show had different genres and influences, the new presentation of familiar sounds, solid mixes, and limited interruptions made for very listenable shows every week. Whether in the office, car, backyard, or a BBQ, you can be sure you'll hear some great dance music with interesting and relevant commentary on the artists and samples that are presented. To complete the connection to house music House Connection featured the sampled tracks at the end of the show highlighting the sampled portion, allowing listeners to get a better appreciation for the sampled track.
